Love your Real You. We do.
Â鶹tv celebrates equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect. Who wouldn’t? It makes every day here more exciting. We love what makes you – you. We love the richness and diversity of our student population. As our college community evolves, and our staff and student population changes, we will make sure we have a place that is welcoming for everyone.
We believe that all people are able and responsible and should be treated that same way. We believe that we must put students first and that doing so in an honest way creates an invitational college that encourages equity, diversity, and inclusion, which in turn strengthens the fabric of our college and student life.
As such we demonstrate leadership in eliminating barriers, and implementing and promoting diversity through our academic policies, special initiatives, and proactive measures.
Look for our Campus Watch initiative to help you feel safer within our institution. Come celebrate with us at our many cultural events and festivals like International Students' Day. We invite you to seek the answers you need from one of our International Department staff members. Feel free to reach out to our Â鶹tv Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Department by emailing EDI@saultcollege.ca if you have any questions or concerns about your safety, inclusion, or representation within the Â鶹tv community.
We are committed to confronting and ridding our campus of racism, harassment, and discrimination. So, we welcome you to our home – as we are excited to hear about yours.
Celebrating Gender and Sexual Diversity
Â鶹tv celebrates the diversity of every one of our students and accepts our responsibility in working towards a safer and welcoming home for people of all gender identities, expressions, and sexual orientations.
The 2SLGBTQAI+ (queer) community is welcomed at Â鶹tv. We want your real you to be safer, represented, supported, and comfortable here.
Our goal is to ensure that all students, faculty, and staff feel supported on campus and are aware of the daily challenges that our marginalized community members face.
Look for our Campus Watch initiative to help you feel safer within the Â鶹tv community. Access to All Gender Washrooms is also available throughout the campus. We encourage you to celebrate your uniqueness. You can start by joining our student-led Pride Club. If you are having a difficult time, we encourage you to seek support from our culturally competent and humble counsellors. Feel free to reach out to our Â鶹tv Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Department by emailing EDI@saultcollege.ca if you have any questions or concerns about your safety, inclusion, or representation within the Â鶹tv community.
Feel welcome. Feel at home. Celebrate your real you.
